Platform & Issues

What Dan Will Fight For

Dan Sneddon's platform is built on one principle: every decision made by Local 357's leadership should serve the membership — not management, not politics, not personal ambition.  That means dues dollars will go toward representing the pilot.

01

Stronger Contracts

Wages, benefits, and working conditions that keep pace with the cost of living.

Dan has been at the bargaining table. He knows that a strong contract doesn't happen by accident — it takes preparation, solidarity, and a negotiator who refuses to blink. As Secretary/Treasurer, Dan will ensure Local 357 enters every negotiation fully prepared and fully committed to the membership's interests.

That means fighting for wage increases that outpace inflation, protecting healthcare and pension benefits, and securing language that gives members real protections on the job.  This also means funding all of our committees so they can do their job.

Dan's Commitments

  • Annual wage increases tied to cost-of-living benchmarks
  • Full protection of pension and healthcare benefits
  • Stronger job security and seniority language
  • Transparent contract summaries for every member
02

Transparent Finances

Every dollar of Local 357's funds accounted for, reported clearly, and spent in members' interests.

The Secretary/Treasurer is the financial steward of the local. Dan takes that responsibility seriously. He will implement clear, regular financial reporting so every member knows exactly how their dues are being spent.

No surprises. No hidden expenditures. No financial decisions made without proper oversight. Dan will bring the same discipline to Local 357's books that he brings to everything else.

Dan's Commitments

  • Full funding to the NC, HIMS, Stewards, and Legal Representation
  • Adequate Prep and review time for Committee Members
  • Clear budget process with member input
  • Zero tolerance for financial mismanagement
03

Member-First Representation

No member should face management alone.

Dan has spent his career representing members in grievances, disciplinary hearings, and workplace disputes. He knows that the union's most important job is making sure every member has a strong advocate in their corner.

As Secretary/Treasurer, Dan will strengthen the grievance process, ensure stewards are properly trained and supported, and make sure no member falls through the cracks.

Dan's Commitments

  • Expanded steward training and support programs
  • Faster grievance response times
  • Regular member town halls and open office hours
  • Clear, accessible communication on member rights
04

Solidarity & Unity

A strong local is a united local.

Local 357 is strongest when its members stand together. Dan will work to bridge divides across committees, cockpits, and seniority levels — because management counts on division, and the membership can't afford it.

That means investing in member engagement, supporting organizing efforts, and building the kind of trust that makes a local truly powerful.

Dan's Commitments

  • Cross-classification member events and networking
  • Support for organizing new members into Local 357
  • Active participation in IBT solidarity efforts
  • Regular communication across all worksites
